Literature Text

Type and write, your arms wide open,
smile through emotions, the warming moment.
Far away, but so very close.

For the friends and family, you love the most.

Create a letter, then press enter,
send your love you’re no pretender.
Across the sea, one day you’ll meet.

For friends and family, you’ll one day greet.

Retrieve a message, return the hug,
feel so better, a different love.
From different lands, gentle hands.

For friends and family, who make you glad.

It’s easy to hug from far away,

But harder to feel, the warmth we need.
It's really is hard sometimes in life, when the arms that hold you are so far away, but needless to say those arms would be around you in person. A hug online may not feel like a hug for real, but i'll tell you what's real is the love you feel.

I hope you will forgive me for taking, it seems like months, to address your art. Anyway, let’s press on.

I think, for the most part, this poem describes exactly why I hand out critiques and good comments (since I never have time for all art). I want to let people know that I love their work, for better or worse, and will gladly take the time to address it, rather than make a generic comment and run. Some may not agree, some will, but end of the day, I’d like to think we can be all friends and family here.

And I totally agree with this whole work, especially since my trip to Alaska nearly a year ago… Having only Skype to talk to your family does get bloody lonely. =p

Beautifully written and tenderly spoken, and for the last couple of lines, no truer words could ever be spoken, especially if you’re a soldier or away on business or wherever.

Well done pal, keep it up! And please forgive my rambling if it got that far. =p
